Andrew is a Partner at Catalyst and has over 25 years' experience of the leveraged debt markets from the perspective of both a lender and an advisor.

As a lender, Andrew worked for a range of institutions including HSBC, Credit Suisse and Kaupthing, where he was the head of the acquisition and leveraged finance team. In 2007 Andrew become an advisor, joining Hawkpoint Partners and then Stephens Europe to lead their debt advisory practices with a focus on supporting M&A activity, as well as standalone debt mandates.

Over the past 10 years, Andrew has supported both private equity and corporate clients on transactions across a broad range of sectors and transaction types, always with a focus on leveraged structures for M&A activity. He has extensive experience across a wide variety of leveraged debt products from senior loans through to quasi-equity instruments.

Andrew works alongside Andrew Shellard, who heads our Debt Capital Markets team, to support financial sponsors, business owners and management teams looking to use debt to support a range of objectives across the investment life cycle of a business.

Outside of work, Andrew is a keen cyclist and enjoys exploring the Surrey Hills near his home and, further afield, when possible, the mountains of Europe where he also enjoys skiing. He is married with three sons.
