Currie - "Extremely positive for future"

Catalyst reports a significant upturn in its deal activity in the first six months of 2010, with performance beating all previous records in the firm's history.

The eleven deal completions, which have included high profile businesses such as Synseal, Minivator and AIM Aviation, cover both buy and sell side activity.

Managing partner Andy Currie commented, "Our strategy at the beginning of the credit crunch to maintain our focus and business development on mid-market advisory work has paid dividends. None of these deals has been easy to complete, however our experience and drive enabled us to deliver them in a difficult market place. We are confident that this early success will be mirrored throughout the year as with a very strong pipeline, three new recruits and potentially some more confidence in the economy now that the election result has finally been put to bed, the business should go from strength to strength."
