Richard Sanders

Richard is a Partner at Catalyst and has over twenty years of corporate finance advisory experience.

His main responsibilities include advising on MBOs, fund raising, company acquisitions and disposals, as well as heading our Birmingham office alongside Andy Currie and Jamie Hope.

Richard leads our work in a number of sectors including construction services and marketing services, as well as working alongside Jamie Hope in our telecoms sector team.

“From the day we set up Catalyst, we deliberately created a business which is simple to run. This enables the partners to spend the majority of their time advising clients and bringing their experience to deals rather than getting bogged down with internal administration and company politics.”

Richard trained as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton. He subsequently moved to become a director within Ernst & Young’s corporate finance team and this included a secondment to a major bank’s restructuring team

Outside of Catalyst Richard is keen to stay fit and enjoys cycling, playing golf and tennis. He also acts as a business mentor with the Princes Trust.
