Catalyst clients on top of the league

Three of Catalyst Corporate Finance’s recent clients feature in the top 25 fastest growing UK firms within the prestigious “Buyout Track 100” table published on 8 February 2009 within the Sunday Times newspaper.

The league ranks Britain’s mid-market private equity backed companies with the fastest growing profits over the last two years.

Foster + Partners, the global architectural consultancy, tops the league with an annual profit growth of 147%. Catalyst advised Lord Foster and the other shareholders on this significant investment by 3i plc in 2007, and have continued to work with the business since this time. The deal was subsequently nominated and won the Financial Advice of the Year category from the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) at their Annual Awards in 2008.

Other recent buy-outs advised on by Catalyst, the award winning international corporate finance firm, featuring in the top 100 table include Aston Carter (11), Stone Computers (21), Pims Group (53), Williams Holdings (69) and Just Trays (99).

“We’ve always sought to work with high quality businesses in the UK, and believe passionately in the ability of the private equity model to generate significant advantages for all shareholders in the right circumstances” said Catalyst Managing Partner Andy Currie. “The appearance of so many of our recent clients in this table again highlights our ability to deliver value, even in these testing economic times.”
