Deal Summary

We advised the management buy-in team, led by Laurie Cooke, on the MBI of Thomas Sanderson Blinds (TSB) in a deal funded by ISIS Private Equity (now Isis Equity Partners).

Thomas Sanderson is the UK’s leading manufacturer and retailer of conservatory blinds.

What difference did we make?

Since its formation, TSB had grown to sales of over £20 million. The founders recognised that in order to maximise the opportunity presented by this fast growing market, external expertise and funding was required.

Working with MBI candidate Laurie Cooke, Catalyst developed a complex deal structure, which satisfied the requirements of all the different parties. We also developed a strong relationship with the vendors, ensuring a successful outcome and smooth process.

Our greatest challenge in completing this deal was identifying a specific risk that had prevented a previous deal being completed and insuring this under an innovative arrangement.
