My Goodness

Deal Summary

Catalyst advised the shareholders of My Goodness on raising £1.5 million of development capital.

My Goodness is a fast growing sports recovery drink, operating under the My Goodness Shakes brand name, which helps the body recover after exercise.

Available in all of the major UK supermarkets, the drinks are also sold in specialist sport stores and gyms around London and the UK.

What difference did we make?

Having approached owner and founder Stuart Jeffreys, we developed a strong relationship and were asked to help Stuart, and fellow founder Jeremy Martin, to raise development capital in order to help them accelerate the development of the business. This was particularly important given the highly specific nature of the product, where speed to market was key before the larger multinational drinks companies entered the market and quickly won market share.

Working with Stuart and Jeremy over a number of months, and using our wide network of contacts of institutional and private investors, Catalyst helped the business finalise a deal with Sussex Place Ventures, a venture fund owned by London Business School.

This minority investment of £1.5 million will be used by the business to develop the business infrastructure and marketing channels as the brand continues to develop.
