Catalyst advised Findel plc on the acquisition of AtoZ Supplies.

Based in West Yorkshire, Findel plc is a quoted UK company with sales of £330 million. The company has offices across the UK and trades via three divisions; home shopping, fulfilment and education.

The acquisition of Essex based AtoZ Supplies from Accord plc, complements the company’s strategy to grow its educational supplies division significantly. AtoZ Supplies has sales of £18 million and supplies a wide range of products and services to the education, local authority and care sectors in the south east.

What difference did we make?

Using our knowledge of the educational supplies sector, Catalyst worked closely with Findel to originate, negotiate and project manage the acquisition of two of AtoZ’s four divisions.

The complex deal involved business reorganisations and shared service agreements. The most challenging part of this deal was working with the lawyers and human resource specialists to ensure the staff at AtoZ Supplies were correctly transferred to Findel.
