Catalyst scoops second Rainmaker award

Catalyst has won the 2005 Rainmaker award for the top Independent Corporate Finance Team in the UK.

The award for the Rainmaker competition is based on statistics compiled by Initiative Europe, a leading independent provider of in-depth private equity information and reflects the work undertaken in the £25 million to £250 million sector. Catalyst has been involved in a number of significant deals in this bracket including three Midlands based companies, Dennis Eagle, Hillarys Blinds and Synetrix Limited.

The awards, organised by Hg Capital, recognise the leading deal originators in the UK private equity mid-market. This is the second time in three years Catalyst has been recognised by this prestigious award and demonstrates the strength of the business and its continued impact on the market since it was founded.

Ian Armitage, CEO of Hg Capital commented, “The UK private equity mid- market continues to grow thanks in large part to the efforts of an excellent advisory community, who make deals happen. Catalyst’s executives have all shown they have the flair and ability to initiate and complete deals.”
